190 Special Kids – One Amazing day

190 children with special needs have enjoyed a day out at Crealy Adventure Park thanks to a joint effort between Taunton Vale Rotary and the Kids Out Charity.

Taunton Vale Rotarians arranged  transport for youngsters from Selworthy School and Taunton Opportunity Group and their carers to and from Crealy Park near Exeter for a fun day out. The park offers free entry in conjunction with Kids Out.

Chris Willcocks, Assistant Headteacher at Selworthy says: “Thank you again for this generous gift for our learners. We had an amazing day (again) and were blessed by good weather. It is a fabulous opportunity for the youngsters to develop their independence and experience the wider world – something that so many young people seem to miss out in.

Many of the young people expressed their thanks by creating letters and cards which were sent to the club.
