Its ‘go – go – go’ for Moonraker 26

Entries are now open for the 2026 Moonraker Challenge which takes place on Saturday, October 3rd..

Moonraker is a fun, twilight into the night, team-based orienteering charity walk, solving questions en-route. This year’s event is based at the Huish Woods Scout camp near Hatch Beauchamp, between Taunton and Ilminster, and features either 8 or 15 mile courses.

Designed to test teamwork, determination and resilience, the event is expected to attract businesses, community groups and individuals from across the region who enter teams of between 3 and 8.

There are no individual age restrictions (last year the youngest competitor was 7 and the oldest in their 70’s) but everyone must be judged able to complete the distance and youngsters must be supervised.

Participants will take on an exciting challenge while raising vital funds for Charity.  Headline beneficiary this year is St Margaret’s Hospice, a charity that provides compassionate care and support to individuals and families across Somerset.

Organisers are delighted to announce the backing of several prominent local organisations, including Amicus Law, Taunton College, Mulberry, Diverse Fine Foods, Teapot - The Brand Growth Agency, Bravo Events, and Imprints Taunton. Their sponsorship and support demonstrate the strength of local partnership and commitment to making a positive difference in the community.
