‘Join in Somerset' and 'Taunton Together' - Saturday 28th September 11am to 4pm

Taunton Vale Rotary Club members are excited to be working with the High Sheriff of Somerset, Rob Beckley, to organise and promote a new event for Taunton.  It will celebrate and showcase the great work being undertaken by the many local volunteer and community groups in Somerset, as well as encouraging greater community participation and volunteering in our part of Somerset by giving those visiting the chance to really "get involved”!

The one-day event, “Join In Somerset”, will offer volunteer and community organisations an opportunity to promote the work that they do by exhibiting around Taunton Minster and along Hammet Street, at the same time allowing visitors the opportunity to discover what the various organisations have to offer and to discover the benefits of volunteering with these groups.

 It is planned that there will be interactive displays, exhibits and entertainment throughout the day, so there should be something for everyone!

This event is from 11am to 4pm, and is being held as part of the "Taunton Together" festival being held on Saturday 28th September, which is a wide-ranging celebration being promoted by the Town Council, with cultural, art and performance events being held across Taunton throughout the day - see https://www.tauntontogether.co.uk for details.
