Rotary Collects for Flood and Earthquake Victims.
More than eight hundred pounds has been collected for victims of the recent floods in Libya and the earthquake in Morocco by members of Taunton’s two Rotary Clubs. Members were out with collecting buckets at the RoadChef services on the M5 motorway and at ASDA super store.
At ASDA, the collectors were joined by Taunton’s Heads Up Choir who sang a variety of music to entertain shoppers.
Taunton Vale Rotary President, Martin Lock, says: “The ‘Heads Up’ choir were indeed a big success, not only in terms of getting people to dig in to their pockets that little bit deeper, but also in terms of putting a smile on their faces.
“We’d like to thank the singers, collectors and, of course, all the people who donated.”
