What a strike!

What a strike!

Taunton Vale Rotary Skittlers have retained their title as District champions for the second year running thanks in part to an amazing 17 pins by the club President.    Martin Lock gave his team mates a great start to the evening taking down 17 pins with his first hand.

The match, staged at The Haymaker Inn, Wadeford nr Chard, wasn’t one sided though as the other finalists, Crewkerne Rotary, took the second, fourth and fifth rounds.  But the Taunton Vale total proved too much.  Taunton finished strongly in the final round with 55 against 49 pins consolidating their winning position.
